Oy, what a week.
First, I think I sprained or broke my foot about a month or so ago. I did something and it started to hurt one day. I don't even remember what it was other than when I put on this pair of shoes it hurt. Well I tried to take it easy-ish (haha) and now 6 weeks or so later it is still swollen. I went to a concert at del mar race track with lots of walking and noticed it really bad then. Plus I can't bend 2 of my toes AND it is all tingly at my toes. So I have to go to the doctor this week. I HATE THE DOCTOR!
Next, took the boys to get a nice hair cut yesterday. Only today before we went to see "The Music Man" local production with inlaws, Dave decided to "Improve" his hair cut. He starts kindie in a few weeks and won't he look STUNNING! He will be wearing a hat for a bit to cover the bald spot right in the middle of the front. Then I will be using clippers on the whole lot when the bald spot grows out just enough to be even.
And Cait gets her braces tomorrow. She is so excited she can hardly stand herself. Gold metal with green elastics. She gets to change the elastic color every appointment. Though green is her favorite so she insists that it will always be green, lol. I figure when she sees other kids there with multicolored she will change her mind. BUt I don't know.
On a good note, Mike had an outlandishly good 2 days for the last couple days. Well it was up and down, but he had 2 really good play times with other kids that normally would have ended in a behavior problem and he had fun. YEAH SUCCESS. Huge success for him. For instance, tonight at my inlaws the cousins were playing. Mike was off pushing one of those toddler cars and riding it himself. The other kids all decided to "get Michael". He is the oldest and they look up to him because he is bigger. Well they tackled him and instead of getting mad (his usual reaction) he laughed and made a joke! The other was he was actually playing with us and some new kids at the pool. These 2 kids joined us and at first he was ticked, but I worked with him (mentioned to the other kids that he sometimes has a hard time understanding cause things were getting dicey) and by the end I even got out of the pool and they were playing a game and he didn't get ticked when he lost!!!!
So there ya have it. Felt like an update.

WOW! Lots on your plate, as usual.
I hope you haven't done any damage to your foot! sounds painful and well... not so good!
ROFLOL! to the hair cuts-- doesn't it just figure that you spend good money on the hair cut and then he decides to get creative! You could always just buzz it really short and then you'll hardly be able to tell that he's bald in parts-- isn't he blond, that should work.
COOL! to Cait's braces! Sounds like perfect Packers (NFL, Green Bay) colors to me, my boys would love it! So far we've dodged the braces issue, Warren could use them but he's got so many sensory issues w/ the mouth that we're just waiting, his teeth aren't that bad, a small overbite. Amelia needs braces, but I keep hoping she'll grow just a bit more and then we won't have to pull any teeth, just rearrange them. I really hope we don't have to do multiple braces!
Yay for Mike, glad he had positive play situations! we have to celebrate every small victory!

I admire your ability to handle 4 kids so well.
Please take seriously your foot injury.

Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response. --
Cait has always been good about doctors. She loves the adult attention actually. However, she has lots of sensory issues too. Though going to the dentist isn't a problem (high pain tolerance) she has a very very low tolerance for anything annoying or uncomfortable. I have tried explaining to her but I think once the reality of braces set in I am going to have a few weeks of h-e-double hockey sticks, ROFL. Lots of tylenol. It isn't the pain that will bother her it will just be something different and annoying that will.
Now, Mike and dentists are a different matter. I hope he doesn't need braces. He will handle the annoying better if we could ever get them on.
yeah, I just have to get to the doctor. I so hate going but DH is home this week so I guess I better try. Thanks gals.

On the foot:
nag nag nag nag frickin nag ...go to the dr... nag nag nag ..should take better care of yourself.. nag moan ....sorry in the long run... nag nag b**ch, moan complain... ad nauseum. Seriously though. you need your feet in good shape for the next 20-odd years at least. You don't want to risk permanent damage or long-term pain.
*Snort* Sorry to laugh, but that Dave story is hilarious (and typical!). I know he is starting K, but it could be worse, he could be slated to be a ring-bearer at a wedding or something. Im am sure the school has see plenty of creative haircuts in it's day!
Good luck to Caiti with the braces I hope she won't be disappointed. Do you have a backup plan in case she is?
And YAY to Mikey!!! WTG man, that is so cool!
gotta go and wash some mucky kids. Hang in there
