And I wonder how many of your kids get into the spirit of the day in a big way. Let's share stories.

Malcolm was at it all day long, looking for ways to try to fool us. Then he went for his tutor. When she rang the buzzer, he answered and pretended not to have any idea who she was. Then he pretended not to know who Malcolm is. Then he offered her several suggestions as to which building she might need to go to in order to look for "Malcolm", also other apt. numbers. Finally, she said back "Malcolm, I know it's you, it's April Fools Day, kids were tricking me all day long, open the door". He said "Lady, I think you are crazy and I'm having my mom call the police now", and left.

I had to let her in, and she was laughing and laughing. THEN he came down the hallway, yelling "APRIL FOOLS"!

She said that April Fools Day is a LOOOOOONNNGGG day for teachers.

I'ts April's fools day? Really? I never would have guessed! I have only pulled the same lizard out of my shirt six times, and a little rubber dinosaur about three times. I have had to "rescue" Siobhan from aforementioned lizard about times.

Just a minute ago, I rescued the dinosaur from my bed, where it had become lost during the implantation process (it had been placed between the top sheet and the duvet by mistake).

I'm sure I will find it in there again at bedtime.

But it is really great to watch my kids truly co-operate -even if it is to plot and scheme.

We had a stressful and busy day so far: Peter was the butt of most of the jokes at school as far as I can tell and he had an opthamologist appt afterwards, which he did AWESOME at. (needs stronger glasses :( ). We should be swimming now, but I am not feeling up to taking them to the pool, so I am glad that they have a distraction and a means to blow off some steam.

Sara, That is brilliant about Malcolm. I can just see him now.
