Happy Birthday Ding Dong!!!!
| Thu, 03-16-2006 - 3:45pm |
It is Emily's birthday (and yes we call her Ding Dong it comes from a little rhyme her dad used to say "Emi-lemma, cutie patootie, sweetie-peetie, ding-dong". It has been shortened to ding-dong. Poor kid is going to need counselling.
Anyway, since I was into pics today I thought I would post one of the Em's on her birthday next to the cake she helped create with her birthday guinea pig.

Oh, she's so pretty! Happy Birthday to Emily. How old is she now? She looks so grown up.

Happy Birthday, Emily! Are those gummi bears? Nathan would love that.
About nicknames---I used to call David "Baby Bean", because when I was newly pg, we used to talk about how he was kind of like a little bean inside me. He liked "Baby Bean" until he was about 3 or 4, when he scowled at me and said, "I am not a baby, and I am NOT a BEAN!" That was the end of "Baby Bean." Sigh.
I used to call Nathan "Nithy Nathy Noodle Doo", which got shortened to "Noodle". My mom sometimes calls David, "Davie Doodle", so we've got a Noodle and a Doodle. Pretty weird, eh?

Lock her up right now(LOL)! You are going to have every guy in the neighborhood calling her. She is a beautiful girl.Happy Birthday Emily!

ROFL, every guy in the 2nd grade in our neighborhood already calls her. You see that "pretty" girl has decided she is a tomboy. Yup, that is her favorite shirt in that picture. Her basketball shirt. All her friends at school are boys. Her best friends are boys and she is a socialite. She is so feminine that she doesn't make a very good tomboy though. I think it is a ploy so she has a head start when it comes to dating when she is older. Of course she was planning on marrying this one boy when she turned 4. I was told this when she was 3. You see, 3 is to young to get married so she had to wait until she was 4.
Thanks for the nice remarks all. I think she is gorgeous myself, but I am a wee bit biased.
Oh, on the "cake". Yep those are gummy bears. We put powdered sugar on it and called it "Mount Willy Make-it" for all those gummy bears that seemed to be falling off the mountain, ROFL.
