Has Anyone Used This? (i.e.enzymes)

Here is the link for it:

Has anyone heard of this or used something like it before?

We haven't used that one, but there is a Yahoo email group about Enzymes and Autism.
I would rethink trying the kidzyme for the fact that the ingredients appeared to list glutamines. Many ASD kids tend to have too many glutamines. The problem isn't so much too many glutamines, but a problem with glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD). The reason why a subset of ASD kids did well on high amounts of vitamin B6 is because this GAD enzyme is dependent on B6 for converting glutamate into GABA. As a result, an accumulation of glutamate buildsup without the countering effects of GABA. This is also why soy is often not so ideal for ASD kids. It's reported to be a perfect protein like meat. It is high in glutamines, however, and contains no taurine (like meats do) to counter the effects of the glutamines. Something I found out the hard way.
Glutamines are essential to balance, helps you determine where
your body parts are in time and space, muscle tone, can be converted
to glucose, intestinal health, ph balance, detoxing ammonia, and
more. Glutamines are able to cross the blood brain barrier via the hypothalamus (which is believed to be impaired in ASD). So, it seems there is quite an issue with glutamines. We need them, shouldn't (and can't) avoid them...but have to be careful with giving extra, esp. without it's inhibitory counterparts.
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your reply! Would you mind if I picked your brain in a seperate email? You seem to be very knowledgable in this subject and I really need some help with all of this! LOL!
I don't know a lot about things like herbs and such, but glutamine is one thing I definitely have made an effort to pick apart so that's why I red-flagged it on the list of ingredients. It may not be an issue for all ASD kids, but I suspect it is for a lot of them. My dd did not manifest any outward symptoms but her EEGs were way worse. I will try to help if I can though.
