Poor Euie....he does like having lots of free time to read/draw maps/flap about in peace, but the change to routine is killing him (and us!) and we are having constant fights to get him to do stuff...today was an EXTREMELY autistic day, with lots of tantrums, screaming and violence, like we haven't seen for months, over every imaginable thing. And very patient explanations to my mother, who is staying with us for a couple of weeks, that it is not 'naughtiness' and he doesn't need disciplining (but he DOES need consistency and structure which she is rubbish at and it is driving him nuts. the little ones adore Nana because she's a lot of fun and sponateous at taking them out on activities, but Euan cannot BEAR changes to his plans or 'exciting' activities that he hasn't been prepared for)
Roll on August and back to school!!!
