He cut his own nails!!
Find a Conversation

I know, I know, how pathetic is it that I am excited about this. I hate cutting Euan's nails, he hates having them cut, I hate seeing him with long nails (not least because he winds up hurting himself or other people when he kicks off)....so I finally managed to persuade him after two weeks of nagging to use nail clippers. And No-one Died. He didn't even cut a finger off, although we had a tourniquet ready, just in case....
I am now commencing the Campaign To Get Euan To Use A Cellphone. I have tried to explain that he could just TEXT people he doesn't even need to SPEAK to them but we now have all kinds of drama about how on earth he would go about getting people's numbers. (does this sound familiar to anyone? "You just say, 'I have a new phone, can I have your number?' 'When do I say this?' 'when you are talking to them about something else' ' But you said I shouldn't just impose my own conversation on people, I should listen to what they are talking about and respond to them, what if they aren't talking about phones or phone numbers' 'This is the kind of thing you could OPEN a new conversation about, it's fine to do that' 'What if I say it wrong and they tease me' 'They won't tease you if they are your friends, truly, this is a completely normal boring conversation that everyone has when they get a new phone' ' But I might say it wrong' 'Ok, how about we practice before you say it to your friends' ' But I don't *need* your phone number, I already *know* your phone number' 'Ok, I mean, how about I pretend to be one of your friends' 'That doesn't work, you don't even look like Gary'.....)
*sigh*!!!!

It's not at all pathetic to get excited about something like this.
I just love your stories about Euan.
