First day of school at the "big" school (LOL - this is in a town where a church bell still tolls the hour). He'll be switching classrooms (possibly) for math and reading - they do this to get the 5th graders ready for middle school. They also go to the cafeteria for lunch (another first). And they have bells marking the class changes. All new different...And he says he loves it there and never wants to go back to Nottawa.

Socially delayed shy-guy even made a new buddy yesterday - I think that shocked me more than anything. He couldn't tell me his name or anything he did with him LOL. Just "that kid that sits next to me mom".

Felt sorry for my daycare provider - she's never experienced a wound-up stimmy Josh before. I'd warned her before hand - if he's hyper after school...Find him something QUIET to do by himself away from the others. They managed. Josh had smuggled a Transformer to school in his backpack and he claimed a corner of the couch to play with it.

Now...How long do I wait before approaching them about continuing the OT started by his previous school?

wait-why? i asked for an IEP meeting the first day of school because over the last weeks of summer DD began saying some things that made it clear that she needs more ST for articulation and i want to add some aba at home to work on some behavior stuff before it becomes a problem.
