This week was spirit week and Wed. was crazy hat day. I asked Sam (almost 7, 1st grade, AS) what he wanted to do for that and he immmediately said," I want to use my bike helmet. I want to put cardboard and bottles on it." I asked him to draw it out so we had a diagram. Anything with a pencil is difficult but he did great.

OK....the cardboard didn't fit so we just taped the bottles on. I pushed him to come up with a theme so he could have some ideas of where to go next. I made some suggestions and he chose "safety" and thought to put a bike glove on the middle bottle and elbow pads on the two on the side. Then we found a toy dirt bike to tape on the front.

He immediately reminded himself of a ram with 3 horns and started gently ramming me and walls! LOL...I made sure he understood not to do that at school.

He won a $10 Toys R Us gift card! I'm so proud and he's exstatic because his B-day is next week and he'll have some money gifts coming too most likely.

There are good things about having an Aspie brain.
