Tina,

I have many of those moments. Dh works long hours, so when he gets home, I always update him on my day with the boys. I always find myself laughing when I'm describing something that Nathan did. Even though it wasn't funny when it was happening....when I relive the moment, I can't stop thinking how hilarious my boys are!!

Tina,

Oh yeah! We had the exact same problem with Cassian, who stayed in size 6's WAY past the size limitations of such diapers. I think he eventually saw other kids in his special needs preschool class wearing pull-ups and switched to them without resistence. That initial tussle with novelty is a consistent behavior pattern with a lot of ASD children. The funny thing is that you may see them accept the novel thing at another time with no fuss at all. Their brains just give off major warnings when something is new, I think, and the warming up period is slower for many.
