I called an emergency IEP meeting

Well yesterday again he was up at the office. In his BSP in the IEP he is suppose to first go to the resource room before the office. If he goes to the office I get a phone call.

Well of course ONCE AGAIN he is up at the office for some lame reason, because he was freaking out and the other teacher gave him a choice and since he refused to go in the room he went to the office.

I am so confused about everything. Like one day his teacher is all stressed out not handling him and then the next day she is like "oh he engaged the kids today," and she acts like everything is perfect and he will be fine on his own next year !!! Does this happen to anyone else ?

You were right to call for a meeting. It seems clear that his IEP isn't being followed. It is my experience that teachers that don't get it, will NEVER get it. That is why it is so important that his IEP and behavior plan spell everything out in advance. Unfortunately, many schools seem to think that a child like this needs a firm hand and that is exactly the kind of inflexible thinking that they don't need. They are required to train everyone working with your son about his disability. I don't want to discourage you, but this is a long term battle especially if the child is advanced academically. It is almost impossible to get them to see that even though the child is smart they still have issues. Keep fighting for your son.
