Thank heavens for this support board!!! This has been my greatest source of info and support. As much as I love the internet with it's vast sources of info, it doesn't do me any good until I first know WHAT I need to be researching. This board is where I first found a name to put with my kids' problems, why I was able to push my doctor to LISTEN to my concerns, and why she finally realized there was a problem and referred us to therapy. And, more than anything, it's just so nice to know I'm not crazy, and I'm not alone. I've spent so many years of people telling me I'm imagining stuff or that my kids'll "grow out of it," it's nice to finally have people who truly understand the issues. Thanks to all of you for keeping this board active and for providing people like me (beginners in this process) a valuable resource tool!

Me too. It's very good to know that there are other out there who understand and don't think we are just "bad parents!" Great place for information too.

I totally agree. I've been coming to these boards since David was about a year old. I went from the regular toddler boards, to the spirited kids board, and finally someone said, "gee, that sounds a lot like Asperger's, have you tried that board?"

Between this board and the IEP/504 board, I've learned so much. In "real life" I have one friend who I can talk to...and I only see her every few weeks, and we are constantly interrupted by our kids. There is no one in the neighborhood or at David's school that I can talk to. The only problem with this board is that I get addicted. I'll come here to see if anyone answered my post, and find that three other people have issues that I want to help with. I can't tell you how many times I start typing a response to someone's post, and DH comes downstairs all sleepy-eyed, "Are you coming to bed?"

I would have been lost the past year without the women on this board.
