When I dropped Hayden off at school, I talked to the director. One of the other moms wants to start having "meetings" about once a month, for moms of kids with AS/PDD/HFA. We can talk, laugh, cry together. I'm really excited about this b/c I don't have a lot of friends to begin with, let alone friends with autistic kids. Just wanted to share my joy!!!! :)

That's great that they offer support. DS preschool offers monthly seminar type meetings but I have found them a waste of time.
The woman who runs it is a twit. LOL

Congrats, Chrissy.

We have been lucky enough to beling to several support groups, including the very informal one made up of all the parents of Malcolm's friends that are currently most of our social life!

And right now, we belong to a terrific support group during his social skills group of the parents IN the social skills group, a lovely weekly event with tea, laughter, shared shaking of heads, etc.

Hooray!

Wow! That is really cool. Can't say I've been blessed with such an opportunity yet, so I may have to live vicariously (sp?) through you!
