i have heard good things about the b12 shots. it's the most absorbable form of b12 for one thing. i take it you are being followed by a DAN! doctor?

i would consider using them. although we haven't, we don't use a dan doc.

It seems a large number of parents are reporting remarkable progress with the MB12 shots. I've seen a smaller percentage report nothing happened at all, but that seems to be the case with any ASD treatment. You would need a DAN doctor for this as he/she would know whether or not to give folic acid in addition. Some parents have reported similar good reports with the sublingual mb12 tablets. I know I felt better taking those for myself. Again, it might be better to have guidance on this as some need the folic acid as an mb12 partner. I think it's too much b12 can create a folate trap or vice versa. Can't remember off the top of my head, but I think enzymestuff.com discusses it some. My youngest daughter is sensitive to folic acid and giving that to my daughter would lower her seizure threshold. I think it has to do with methylation. Please do share any results with us if you do go forward with it. From everything I've read about B-12, anything that doesn't get stored in the liver is eliminated so it sounds like it is overall harmless. Most people say their kids don't even know they are getting the injections.
Interestingly, certain insects contain a lot of vitamin B12. Termites for example, which are a food source for some Africans. We have eliminated a lot of variety from out diets. Don't imagine I will be able to bring my westernized self to serve insects to the family though. LOL
