Your post title made me think of something and lol. When Hayden gets mad at people sometimes he says he wants them to melt. Just reminded me. Anyway, GOOD LUCK! :)

We have melt-down almost any night....tonight's episode brought to you by equally as rigid dh and overtired ds who screamed for 1/2 an hour whilst getting his bath because he was missing pokemon...but dh said bath at 5:30 and come heck or high water ds was getting his bath at 5:30....oh how I love my home life, one day dh will understand ds' obsessions and really try not to tweak him(especially when he is overtired!)

son has gotten sooo much better about meltdowns. actually the meltdowns happen less often now but the great thing is son is able to recover from them with little help from me. in the past the melts had lasted up to 10 hours each. now he melts, thinks of why he upset and what his options are. i hope he can continue on this positive note. the upset last nite was after a week's vacation and a week of mom asking if the homework was done, he realized he was supposed to read a school book not the library book he had been reading all week. so he melted then recovered enough to read for 2.5 hours. this morning he woke up a few minutes early to continue reading. seems like a little thing but it gives me great hope that he will be able to function without me.
