I've read that autistic kids
don't always understand sarcasm. So the other day, my 7yo Adam was annoying his sister and I asked him if he was being a pain. He shot back with, "No, I'm being a veterinarian... of course I'm being a pain!" I couldn't be any prouder!
Ha. goes to show you can't believe all the myths out there.
My son is a master of sarcasm. He also make crazy associations. I told him yesterday "two wrongs don't make a right"
He shot back: "Yes, but a wrong and a right make a "wright'".
Naturally, he had to explain that one to me (take the "w" from wrong...etc"). After that, I was on the floor laughing.
Life is never boring with our kids.
