Hello! We've been on the waitlist since February for the autism waiver (which will pay for intensive autism therapy) and I got the call that we are up to receive the funding! I'm SO nervous and excited! My son Jacob will be 3 October 18th and will also be starting preschool. He is going to be one busy little guy but I guess that's good. He will be going to school Mon, Tues, Thur and Friday from 830-1130 and have therapy from 2-6p and on saturdays from 8-noon. It's a full schedule that's for sure! I just wanted to share and see if anyone else's children are that booked during the day?

Thanks,

Keri

Ahhhhh, thank GOD preschool is over. Yep, those early years can make you run cross-eyed after a while but it is worth it. This year we are taking a bit of a breather so far but usually we are still booked pretty solid. Last year for instance it was full day of school, then karate on monday for Mike for motor skills(very theraputic), Hippotherapy and social skills therapy for Cait on Wednesday, social skills/play therapy for Mike on Thursday plus all the regular kid activities (bowling for Em, basketball, etc). Plus alot of the in home ABA type teaching we now do on our own.

This year we are doing karate and Cait is doing hippotherapy on Saturday, plus the regular kid stuff (bowling for Em, etc) but no play therapy or social skills groups just now. I have to get on that though. May be starting music therapy soon too. Thier play therapist is out of commision for those kinds of appointments for a few months (new baby) and the other option is a program I am not thrilled with so I think we will take a break.
