I really HATE taking DS to a store. Sometimes the little man amazes me and I feel like a mom who really CAN do what other mothers do. Well today I wanted to get DS new tennis shoes and boy was that a fiasco. First we went to Michael's craft store because I wanted to get a St Patty's Day flag for my flag pole, well he wanted to goto the used book store next door and that wasn't on my agenda. In Michaels we do find crafts for us to do and DS wasn't LOVING anything I offered. He settled on Thomas the Train stickers cause they were the alphabet (stim) of course. He tries to run out the front door w/them and then screams at the cashiers. I was ticked from the get go.
We then ride the escalator up to Kohl's for his new shoes. Well the Sketchers I wanted were sold out in his size and so were the Nikes. OH well I thought so lets go to the clothing section cause he needs a spring coat. His other one the zipper broke and it was cheap anyhow. I find a nice coat and he is running all between racks won't stay by me etc..... I find some PJ's and he still is no where to be found. I was really beging to boil. I find him and snatch him up and low and behold he drops the F bomb on me (yes the "F" word!!) loud enough that the lady next to me just shot me a look like no other. Boy have we learned not to watch certain things on tv anymore while he is up.
We leave and come home and I had also got him Thomas underwear, hoping that that will get him to pee in potty and not pee on Thomas. Well all day I have tried and I finally saw he may doze on couch so I put a pull up on-----He wets the pull up!
I really give up, I have done everything including putting on real underwear under the pull up cause I heard he would really feel the yucky of the pee that way.
Still no luck. He just downed a cup of chocolate milk. I'll give the potty a go again in 20 minutes.
