I remember all you and Justin went through last year. You must be so excited by his progress,, but I understand the nervousness too. I'll be thinking of you all and sending positive thoughts and prayers you way too!
Congratulations! What a year you all have had. I am so happy for you that Justus has made so much improvement, and will light a candle for him and the new school situation for the coming weeks.
Does your school district have a lunch menu that is posted that you can get a copy of or is online. Also most districts have a lunch prepay program. That way you can check school lunches the day before to see if he wants to pack or buy, then if there is a surprise yummy lunch he can always decide to buy if prepaid and bring home his packed lunch for the next day. Prepay his lunch and do a little social story about what to do if he wants to eat lunch at school but has a packed lunch and you should be all set for any situation. Can you tell we have been through this. I have the link for the district lunch menu bookmarked on my computer.
OHHHHH, and at our schools if there is a change and the kids hate the school lunch and don't have a packed one, they can get a PBJ sandwich. I don't think they do it for all the kids but I know they have gotten them for Mike (SDC) in the past when there was a problem and it thwarted the meltdown. The whole lunch issue and anxiety about it may be causing his desire not to go back tomorrow. That would be enough to set off Mike or Cait, but if I worked it out with them via social story and a plan they would be ok.
Glad to hear Reagan is going to and from school and you are working it out there. Going to continue to say prayers that this keeps getting better and better for Justus. It is time. My friends son was in day tx for 2 years. There was only 1/2 day of education and 1/2 day of therapy and because of the situation he really didn't make as much educational progress as he needed to. He is finally back in regular school and starting to make good progress.
He (friends DS and I am sure Justus too) really needed the day tx time but it is good to have him back in a regular school and making educational progress too as well as behavioral and emotional progress.
Sending Prayers & Positive thoughts your way+++++++++++++++++++++++++
I'm glad to hear he's doing better.

Justus' teacher sent the month's menu home with him yesterday, so we made it part of therapy to read the menu and pick his favorites.
