Kids, gotta love 'em

Isn't it nice how kids can be so honest?
I was just thinking that if I have to spend another moment with my children, my head is going to explode. So, I really wanted to go upstairs and be left alone for ten minutes or so. I said to the boys, who are playing with Legos downstairs, "If I go upstairs and be by myself for a little bit, can I count on you two boys to NOT fight with each other?" Nathan, 4, looks at me like I'm insane, and says, "Heck no!"
Sigh! I'm going to try it anyway. I'm so tense from putting up with those two, that my body actually feels all weird and buzzy. That can't be a good sign. LOL! I think the problem is that Nathan has reached his snapping point, after 4 years of being corrected by Mr. Pedantic (David, 8, AS) after every time he says or does anything. He's not putting up with it anymore, and now wakes up ready for a fight. Anyone know a live-in therapist who works for free? ;)
I just thought I'd share.

LOL (about what Nathan said, that is!). I guess it never occurred much to me how a sibling gets along with an AS child, as Alex is pretty much an only child. His half brother and half sister are older and out of the house. I know he (lovingly) drives them nuts when they're all together, but don't deal with him on a daily basis.
(((hugs))) to you, and hope you can get some rest and relaxation, if only for a moment!

Evelyn,
My Nathan is pretty quiet, but he does like to tell his brother what to do and if he's doing something wrong. This, of course, sends Tyler screaming....and then Nathan screams...and then I have to figure out what happened!!
Tyler does like to "play" with Nathan. We bought the boys several scissors that have different cutting edges. Each scissor has it's own slot on this wooden circular stand, that twirls round and round. Nathan likes to spin it all the time!! LOL But anyway, Tyler will take scissors out, and switch their spots. Nathan will then turn and look....and then switch them back. Nathan won't say anything to Tyler....he just puts them back in the "correct" spot. You'd think that he would yell and scream (which he does do in these types of situations!). But Tyler had such a blast....he kept doing it. He had a great time telling me about it too!! LOL
Tyler is learning sooo much about his brother, that he's experimenting now.....I fear what the future brings!!! LOL
