Kyle hates to write. He has dysgraphia and he just plain can't stand the feel of paper.
Last night DH figured out we can scan Kyle's worksheets with Microsoft Office Digital Imaging and then Kyle can add text boxes and type the answers or just write the answers with the mouse using the "digital pen" feature. It was so cool! Kyle was just thrilled. He did his math homework on the computer. He used a combo of typing the numbers and the pen for drawing the line for fractions, the X for multiplication, the = sign, and circling his final answer. He was so much calmer without us sitting next to him. We still had to prompt him now and then to get back to work but it was so much easier. YEA!!!
Hopefully we can get this set up for him at school so he can be more independent.

Oh good one!
We have a meeting with the AT dude for Mike in about a week. I love to have this stuff in mind because this guy is so NOT creative about issues. In fact all he ever wants to do is recomend "alphasmart" but then tells us either the kid can't type or you can't do worksheets on alphasmart so you have to write anyway. The guy is ia knucklehead.
