Kudos to Henry's guidance teacher--

I think I mentioned in Chat the other day that Henry's "homework" from one of his weekly sessions with the guidance teacher was to give two compliments before he came back the next week. I asked him on Thursday morning if he had given a compliment. He told me that he told his classmate Emma that she was a good friend. I'm not sure what the other one was.

Now, this week his "homework" is to compliment himself.

I think that's really great, and I'm so glad that Henry loves his guidance teacher. He really looks forward to his Thursday meetings.

Tbh, I was skeptical what sort of anything could be done in 30 (?) minutes a week with the guidance teacher, so I'm glad to be proven wrong.

What a great guidance teacher! I hope we're so lucky when we get our IEP in place.

We are not so lucky to even have an IEP, but one-on-one meetings with the guidance teacher apparently fall outside the realm of an IEP.

Henry's school denied Henry his testing because he was doing well academically.
