wishing you bottles of luck and gallons of patience (I don't think you have to store the luck and patience on a pantry shelf-- 'sides you'll use it all up this week! LOL!). Oh, and I so understand the freeway anxiety, bleh! I wouldn't drive there either (and don't love to drive anywhere on the freeways-- DH or public transportation for me!).
I understand the inlaw anxiety, except I get it with my own Dad, lol. My inlaws will never leave the state of florida unless it's in a pine box. My Dad is finishing off his round the world tour in April with two weks with us.....arrrrghghgh! 4 days is about my limit with him, so 2 weeks will be a huuuge challenge, then spring break is in there somewhere which adds fuel to the fire, (Dad and Liam butt heads alot). I only wish he's stay in a hotel, lol.
You'll get through it, although the stress of dh loking for a job and all....you're very brave! Dee
{{{Evelyn}}} Man I'm getting stressed just from reading your post lol
Hopefully, it will go by quick :). Thank God their staying in a hotel. Don't forget to jump on here and let it all out at night. Grab a glass of wine at the same time!
Why don't you try a compromise? Instead of renting that expensive minivan while DH is job hunting, rent a comfy roof-rack for the in-laws?
For me, its my own parents, but luckily they can't be bothered to interupt their scotch-drinking and yachting schedules to maintain a relationship with their children who do work and don't have boats. So I haven't seen them in years.
Good luck, and please keep us posted on the visit. Tell us what the in-laws pick up for you at the warehouse club. Keep us posted on the lazy digs, too. We have all been accused of parenting (or not parenting) our kids into whomever they are.
Does the hotel have a pool? It might be fun for your boys to visit the hotel.
