Let me tell you about our christmas lol

Christmas Eve... Tony and I up till 2:45 wrapping gifts and stuffing stockings... UGH.

Kids wake us at 4:30. We say go back to bed, they say no, either you get up or were opening gifts no matter what... so we get up, (we knew it was a loosing cause anyway lol)they open presents, we in our bleery eyes say, were going back to bed, you guys play, if something needs to be built, then well help you when we get up. Slept from 6 to 8.

Got up and got ready in an hour to drive the 2 1/2 drive to sils house, with all 42 of everyone, in a loud house, primed for my boys....

My boys went wild, sat close to the tree waiting for santa (my husband) to pass out the gifts, kept on kicking each other, tormenting each other, having problems waiting turns etc.

My 10 yr old did many things expected, and I talked with family about his testing (away from DH, since he freaks over this stuff) and I have to say they were very supportive, saw many of the things I see, with his language, with his eye contact, etc. They even noticed my 7 yr olds way with his facial features (I have to wonder if he has tourettes because his face is always contorted, and he blasts out with cus words all the time, during a silent moment, and repeats them, over and over, compulsively. (We don't talk like that in our house lol... Lord help me lol)

They were concerned, loving, and I really needed that. I LOVE his family!

So, it was good over-all with his family, they were wonderful when I came to this family with my dd who was 6 and diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I thank god that the moment we showed up they treated her like she had always been there. And I was so grateful for that since she had problems with detachment (sp?)disorder.

Anyway, it worked out well, Chris did a few things strangly (like hitting my bil in-law in the face with his hand (not sure what happened, I was in the middle of an in-depth convo with my other sil and mil about the testing) but my sil, who is married to him politely reminded him he needed to go and apologize for it, and he promptly did. They saw his facial features (very stoic, very serious) when he was mad, because there was nothing for him to eat (he has extreme eating problems). I had to find jack in the box so I could get him a plain hamburger (several actually) to make him full.

Anyway, it was all good tho, considering I am used to my kids behavior and have adapted since the beginning. I wonder if it was worse for my kids though cuz my sil moved a few months ago and there used to christmas at her old house for the last 10 yrs....Probably.

Anyway Chris has one more test to do, the NEPSY. I have to turn other stuff in like the GARS (which has been real hard for me to answer) and the Conner's test for parents before the NP can decide what part of the NEPSY to do. Its a 1200 dollar test ( to add to the 2100's worth of tests we have wracked up so far). Either he can pick part of the test or do the whole thing, but I said do the whole thing if you feel you need too. (We are paying for these test out of pocket. And its worth every penney!!!
