Liam; downward spiral

Liam lost it at school today. Lots of threats, mean attitude etc. Even the bus driver complained about his language (Damn). Once home he was beligerant, mean spirited, even threw a small kiddy table and chairs from Ikea. Threatened to hit me in the head,...blah de blah de blah.
I am seriously concerned as I am thinking some of this is seasonal, but a lot has to do with his current teacher. It is a self contained class, but she appears to not know how to help Liam through these rough days. Dh did suggest the day started off a little "off", ie: Liam was spacey and borderline defiant. Still at lunch when he was in their face they made him sit at the lunch table by himself. My instinct is to think they used negative reinforcement rather than distraction or redirection.
I just hate to think we may have a downward behavior spiral after all the progress he has made last year and iover the summer. This is a new teacher, and I get the sense she doesn't understand the hf child as well as the miderate to lower functioing one. What really gets me is we met with the pdoc (and Liam's teacher was there too) 2 weeks ago and we agreed to begin weaning him off the risperdal (weght gain). I've barely begun the titrate down and now this. I'm worried the teacher will use thi as an excuse to get him back on the med. And we had his IEP last week and everything seemed fine there.
Today after 20 mins in his room to calm down I did give him 1mg risperdal as a desperate measure. Two bwols of Frosted flakes later (so much for weight loss, sigh), and he was soooo much happier. Still calling himself jerk and weirdo, but overall more level.
If he needs a med I will be willing to go there, but he's already been on trileptal, lithium, abilify, geodon and risperdal, not to mention ritilin, adderall xr and focalin xr. There's not much left to try, and I hate making Liam a drugged up pin cushion. No matter what I want him off the risperdal. Ugh, I hate this new teacher,
Dee

I don't have much advice, since the meds issue hasn't entered our life yet.
