Lining up kitchen faucet!!

This just cracked me up!!! I always wondered why I was having to move the faucet all the time!!

The other day, I was in the kitchen making breakfast, and out of the corner of my eye I see Nathan reaching for the faucet. Well, he can barely reach it, and he doesn't use the kitchen faucet....he's still too little. So I stopped and looked to see what he was doing. Our kitchen sink is divided, two parts, not one whole tub. Nathan took the faucet and lined it up with the center, so it was straight. I don't turn the water on in this position, because the water just splashes everywhere. I turn it on so that the water drops into one of the tubs. I am ALWAYS having to move the darn faucet!!! It never dawned on me, that it was NATHAN....lining it up!!!! I'm going to have to start paying more attention to the rest of the house, I thought he only lined up his toys!!! Now he's moving to OTHER ROOMS in the house!! LOL

ROFL!!!

Michelle, That is just hysterical.

I can see how an off-center faucet might offend an Autie's sensibilities. Please tell us if he has been rearranging anything else in the house. I could use a giggle.

I guess part of it may be Nathan trying to recapture a sense of control in the new house. Just curious: Did you have a single sink in the last house?

Ok-I know someone like that...my husband!! He lines up everything and leaves the right amount of space between them. An example..my cans in the kitchen cabinet-I throw them in any old way-he comes behind me and they will be straght and in perfect lines. Same thing in the fridge and on our bathroom counter!! Let's guess where Jake's AS came from.

Paula....he did try to "fix" the faucet in the masterbath. We have 2 sinks in there, and it was his dad's sink that he was working on. He pushed the handle down, and KEPT pushing it down. Apparently, it wasn't "in line"....even though the water was off, he felt that the handle should have been even with the counter. I asked him what he was doing, he said nothing....and walked away! LOL And, no, the sink in our old house wasn't a one sink basin...it was 2.

Liza....Luckily, Nathan is still too short to reach the upper cabinets!! I'm afraid he might try to line up my cans too!!! We'll have to see on that one!!!!LOL He hasn't tried to line up the lower cabinets, or the fridge....well, not yet anyway.

He has been doing something odd though. He's opening drawers, closets, cupboards, etc...around the house. And just looking. I'm not sure if he's taking inventory or what???!!! He just says he's looking. But I've never seen him do this before. I wonder if he's just getting used to the house, but not sure. Tyler says that Nathan has been doing this in their bathroom too. HE'S IN THERE EVERYDAY, so why keep checking everything???? Probably just obsessive behavior.
