One of the most difficult times of the day is dinner.

((((Evelyn))))

You have to remember that not one person on this board planned to go to Holland when we booked the flight....we were all headed for Italy, remember?

Huge hugs....glad you got that rant out and let us have it instead of continuing with the boys.

Do you have a web cam set up secretly in my house and do you steal my stories????!!!!

Liam has been particularly mean and snotty these last few days, and food and mealtime has become a rather large battle zone again, with both boys.

They've been spying on my house too - the last week Josh has gone overboard with being rude, contrary and disrespectful. Over everything, not just food.

Ryan's become picky about eating. Right now it's chicken nuggets, cheetos (crunchy, brand name), pizza, dry apple cinnamon cheerios, and the occassional pop-tart. Should make for an intersting meal tomorrow. Up until this past week at his dad's he's been a very GOOD eater.

Ahem, only have one word really to add to this

Holidays.....

Everyones theme is how the kids are being extra difficult lately. My kids twist up all weird from halloween straight through the holidays.

Happy Holidays!

Yes -

And it doesn't help that Josh has had an overabundance of substitute teachers at school lately. One of his teachers had a miscarriage and was off for a while, and another was in a bad car accident the weekend before Halloween.

Between that and generally screwy schedules (days off for PT conferences, Thanksgiving, and Christmas break)....I'm ready for it to be January LOL!

I'm brand new, In fact I will do a "I'm new thread here soon" and tell you a little bit more about myself, but oh, I just had to read this thread here tonite. This fits my 10 year old to a T.

Extrememly picky, and will eat only 1 think over and over and over, for like months, and then switches to something else. Do you know what its like making a plain hamburger (the bun HAS to have sesame seeds on it or no way) for breakfast lunch and dinner? Well actually I do think you all know what thats like LOL!

I try to throw in some grapes and raw carrots in as much as possible (basically the only fruit and veggie I can get him to eat sometimes) to get some more vitamins in him, but I think I gave up along time ago. I knew there was no way I could force what I wanted on him, and it was a relief to let go. I figured with flinstone vitamins, he'll live lol. At least thats what the Pediatrician says lol

Its so hard, especially going to familys house and they don't understand why you arn't forcing good food down their throats. SIGH.

Thank you for making me laugh, I needed it lol.

Welcome aboard :)

Grab a lounge chair and call a cabana boy over - they'll take care of what ails you!
