Wow! That is awesome! I can't wait until my 9 going on 10 this summer ds can do the same. Oh, we are also working on the tying the shoes thing too, I thought maybe we were the only ones! hehehe Carey
That is a big deal, particularly beign able to control the amount. We are getting better at that part but then again, Mike LOVES loads and loadds of condiments so it is more a difference of oppinion than a ability issue, lol.
Isn't it great when they reach a mile stone like that? When they don't need you to squeeze the bottle, turn on the shower, etc. Next I am hoping for cutting their own meat or fixing hot food. Oh and brushing hair correctly! One thing at a time.
LOL, I totally understand others not getting it thing. I got b-tched at again today by the orthodontist because Cait's oral health is less than stellar. She brushes but doesn't have the motor skills to handle the extra braces care. She won't let me in her mouth because of sensory issues. She has had no cavities in over 2 years (and had the braces nearly 2) so I don't make a big deal out of it. I try to explain to them but they just don't get it. Make her brush more, try this or that, brush for her. WE did try to water pik think once. WHAT A FIASCO!!! ROFL. I have never seen so much water sprayed so many places before. If we don't have the motor skills to do a brush, trust me a water pik is not an option!
Anyway I digress...congrats to the new found skill. Mom just lost one more job, yipee!
