Lately I have been thinking that in many ways we have arrived. Sure the kids are still ASD but we really have arrived. Today was one of those days.

Today is Palm Sunday. My 2 oldest kids (the asd ones) were asked by the youth group leader to help in church. They and 6 peers were part of the procession and held palms while the procession went through then they handed out palms to all the parishoners. Sounds really small but it was ohhhh so huge.

It wasn't that many years ago that Mike wore headphones to church every sunday and would sit criss cross in his chair with his head down, earphones in, music playing and hands over his ears just to be able to be there. NOW there they were, part of the mass, in the procession, doing a job and looking like teens.

Yep, I cried and looked like a COMPLETE idiot.

Mike wants to be an alter server. I think he may be ready. Amy, I know you can appreciate that.
