When it comes to inlaws.

Today I got an email from one BIL to all the family early with some wierd statement about friday was the day that worked best. It woudl be $40 per person in this rich city. Any questions, call.

Ok, so I emailed back. Yeah I got a question, what the HE!! are you talking about?

I guess they have all discussed and decided it would be fun for all the adults to go out together without kids to some fancy dinner for Restaurant week in San Diego.

I write back that I had never heard of this and it would have been nice to be notified a little more in advance or be part of the plan to help plan for sitting. Never mind that I didn't want to get into the fact that we don't have $80 to throw around on Dinner. PLUS I have been working REALLY hard on my diet and some $40 3 course meal would just blow that out of the water. I know they don't know that stuff so I won't blame them for that, but they do know the kid issues or at least we have tried.

Well I get another email that MIL and FIL have volunteered to babysit ALL the kids together so we can go.

WELL HE!! NO! I am sick of it. How many times do they need to see Mike fall apart and meltdown before they get that these big multi-kid events are NOT good for him. Plus, after FIL's attitude with Mike on Christmas eve I am not leaving him there without me.

So now I am the bad guy because I have said I am not going. I don't want to go. I have NO friggen desire to go. I am not leaving Mike in that situation so I can go. So I am the bad person again.

The can all go to he!!.

Dear Renee,

I AM Proud of you, learning to listen to your body and respond accordingly is a hard lesson, esp. given all your stresses and strains, and most of us atill have to relearn the lesson over and over. Yes, you must not allow overindulgence to be the rule of the day -- day after day, but also you must learn == with constant practise, no judgement -- to balance out needs -- sleep, food, exercise, relaxation, muscle strength, calorie intake, fun, stress management... Sounds like raising one of our kids, No?!?!

Losing weight really requires a complete change in HABITS, and that takes real effort and practise. You've managed 30 lbs. down before, you are a very good risk factor. YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE REQUIREMENZTS TO SUPPORT A LIGHTER BODY!!!!
