met or exceeded cut-off for autism?

hey everyone - i have 2.5 seconds before the kids start completing freaking out to get out of bed so i'll make it super quick:

izzy received the school psychologist's report from the preschool services eval through the county (public school) yesterday. In the 19 page report, it said about the ADOS that Isabella either met or exceeded the cut-off for autism on various sections and then the total score. He emailed it to me and hasn't replied yet to my question....

Does this mean she does or does not have autism according to the ADOS? The recommendations all say to call TEACHH, the autism society, read this or that autism book, etc....so autism? We wouldn't be shocked by the dx but I am shocked that the school would be the one to dx after so much drama of no one really taking us seriously.

TIA and I'll check in later. (Any thoughts on how to get kids to sleep past 4:45 a.m. They've been up there fussing and crying for almost an hour and I keep putting them back to bed with no success.)

If I read it right it means she does qualify. Think of it as meeting the cut off for a a timed sports event. To exceed meand she's not even borderline for a dx. Hope that helps.

I would read that to mean that the school pysch is trying to break it to you gently.
