OMG! I'm so sick of the Lego Star Wars game-- it's only been at our house for a week. My 3 boys are all totally obsessed!

I'm glad the teachers seem like good fits for your boys-- and woo hoo for some free time! How cool is it that they do yoga and go running w/ their classes.

Here's to a good year! :)

BTW, OMG, if Kyle's teacher made him run every day he'd be in hell! It sure sounds like they have some progressive thinking teachers at your school though.

Everlyn,
Is David mainstreamed? Sravan is mainstreamed, but had a very rocky start. So we are debating if mainstreaming is a good idea. The reason we are doing mainstream is his friends and the social skills. Educationally he is not behind, except the writing part. Everyday, the kids have to write a para in their journal entry and Sravan has a had time with this fictional writing. We are going to have his IEP soon and I have to come up with a plan to continue in this school.
The second day, the melt down started because he couldn't copy HW from the board and he forgot about it. So the next day, when it was time to turn in, he melted down. Everybody around him kept commenting that he is in 5th grade and must behave like one. Thats it, the scenario went tumbling down and I had to rush in pick my poor kid from school. I got very upset as to how the office reacted. This is the school he has been going since 1st grade, but there are too many changes in the office.

take care,
Anandhi
