I'm not sure what to make of this.

We started our behavior plan today, and as a part of that we (whoever is caregiving with my son in the afternoon) have to have

Debbie,

It does seem like someone should have been available to walk him to the nurse's office.

Poor little guy I hope he is feeling better.

I don't think you are over-reacting at all. We are like Evelyn here, only a few schools have full-time nurses.

However, our school system does have an elaborate protocol for when there are accidents at school, for insurance reasons, I think. There is an "accident report" form the teacher has to fill out, the principal, teacher, and parent all have to sign. And, I cannot believe they didn't call you! Our school won't even put on a bandaid without calling!

Nope, you are definitely not over-reacting.

I'd be pretty ticked to Debbie. Especially since he was so upset.

Thanks everyone.

Apparently it is school policy not to fill out a report on "minor" injuries, as well as allow the child to walk himself to the nurses office.
