Yup, this is a quote I just heard about 3 seconds ago while reading here, lol. Just up out of the blue. So I asked Mike why. And he said "well god gifted me with it, Well I guess I can do somethings that others can't. Well you know, ummmm, well. I have lots of friends I wouldn't have if I didn't have Aspergers".

Awfully sweet and yet awfully sad. I am glad he has a positive outlook. We have been working hard on that. I am glad he doesn't realize that he doesn't have friends or that he would have way more friends without. But the friends part was kind of sad. He is not one of really socially outgoing types. He can be but often if a kid comes over his age he will just go off and do legos and not want them around. He plays with others on his terms if they are doing what he wants to do.

Oh well, he is just darn sweet cause I got a big hug and a kiss when he said that. How many 9 yos still kiss thier mom frequently and sit in thier lap.

Oaww, how sweet! I know what you mean kinda bitter sweet. Jake only keeps NT kids as friends for a few hours and they have to be doing something he likes. I think they start to find him wierd and annoying.

But how many 12yo BOYS do you know who still hug and liss their mother willingly!!
