Mother's Day Surprise

Victor snuck into my room this morning ( thinking he was being quiet) and left me two roses made of legos. When I woke up, he made me breakfast. Then we went out to the store later and he took his wallet with us. I didn't think anything about it because I figured he got tired of saving money and wanted to spend it.
Low and behold, as we were checking out, he tells me "Be right back Mom, I gotta go get some candy" and comes back with a beautiful (altho half dead) champagne rose for me for Mother's Day. I tried to convince him to save his money and not spend it on me but he said "I would have had Daddy take me to the store if he'd been here and you would have woken up to this instead of the lego ones."
Oh yes, and he told me today it really bugs him when people stand or sit on his right, he needs people on his left. Then he said out of the blue "AND, I have to be either first in line or last in line Mom. It creeps me out if I'm in the middle". This was the biggest thing for him and the best present he could have given me. He's starting to recognize what sets him off in tantrums and learning how to deal with those situations. I'm so proud.
Ms. Bryanna gave me the Mother's Day gifts that she made me at school, and gave me a pedicure today. I am truly blessed to have such terrific kids.

PS A Mom could get spoiled on this kind of behavior.

What a great day! It really is wonderful he is starting to recognize his triggers. Thank you for sharing.

Lol, Liam HAS to sit to the left of the couch when watching tv and he also has to be at the front or end of the line too.

oh Alexis, that is SO sweet!
I like the lego roses, I think that was really thoughtful of him.
