Well its kinda pricey, but I talked my DH into getting a Wii for christmas for the whole family. The boys LOVE ex-box games and I thought this was a good way for everyone to get off their butts to play lol! Also they have tennis games, bowling games etc, that 4 people can play together.
So, its kinda high, but I know we will get a lot of use out of this thing, and we can all play together (I hate playing other type of games lol)
I've been thinking of getting DH the Lego Mindstorms robot set, for this very reason.
It kills me that legos are so darn expensive..... ugh. Any my boys love them too. I am a little lucky that they really like army men (2 bucks for a bag hehehe) but I can't do army men all the time....
I did legos, starwars stuff, ex-box games, a skateboard and some new fishing poles. The Wii, we didn't start out thinking we were gonna get it, it was my impulse buy and justifying it with a part time job I started 2 months ago lol. It wasn't hard to twist's Dh's arm tho lol.
Good luck! I'm not finished quite yet myself, gotta get the last min stocking stuffers and such, and I gotta work tomorrow, fri and sat (12+ hour shifts, so all I'm gonna be doing is working and sleeping for the next 3 days.)
I will have to do alot of catching up on sunday.
I was able to pick a Wii as well...but it was a total accident. I went into the store to get a game for my middle child's Gameboy, and ended up getting the last one in the store. I've had a very hard time leaving it in the box! I typically hate video games, but both aspie and autie love them...my middle child enjoys them...and well, like the previous poster said, it really is one the whole family can enjoy!
We're so evil though, I think we're going to tag it "to Mommy and Daddy from Santa"! Hehehehehehe!
