and since implementing "mom money" things have been going fairly well. I guess I should say wonderfully well because we have not had an outburst in a couple of days. My son did not like the idea of having to buy back his privileges or lost possessions but he got over it when we designed our "mom money" on the computer. To be short, I now "pay" my son for positive behavior and, basically, fine him for negative behavior (he loses items/privileges and there are fees to earn them back). I've also told him that if there is nothing to buy back from us he can use his money for other fun things like extra computer time, or exclusive one on one time for play, etc. I am going to put a price list on the refrigerator of extra goodies he can use his money for. I also have a "lost privileges" page with buy back prices listed. He has already earned enough money to buy back two of the birthday gifts he had lost. Now only one more to go. I am being very liberal with the money right now. We had gotten so wrapped up in the negative that I am currently going overboard with the positive, and I have to say it is working. The prices on his privileges are quite high right now because I don't want him to turn around it get things back right away. I want him to feel like his worked for it. I am very pleased with all of it. My son is carrying around a plastic suitcase with his "cash" and he likes to take it out often and count it. He was very proud to be able to buy back his gifts. It seems that I am going to have to come up with a extra privileges list soon!! Didn't think this would turn out so well. I hope he keeps this up!!

I haven't done this with my kids in a long time but I think it's

time to start back. lately I've just been bribing them and that's got

to end.

At school they used to do a Marble Jar for Tim and it worked
