So Adam has had some "sleep" issues lately, go figure, and yesterday was 1/2 off admission to our local amusement park.
DH was on the fence on going cause Adam didn't sleep like he normally does (define that will ya LOL).
So we go (dh predicts we'll last an hr) well my little dude lasted over 4 hours!!!!!!!!
Not ONLY that, we got our "pass" and didn't use it one time!!!! He waited in line just like everyone else.
We had our occasional stims via the water fall and fountains and don't forget his favorite the volcano. Adam has a thing for those and we have a ride here called the volcano. Ha ha, we had to brib him to eat dinner AT THE SIT DOWN RESTAURANT in order to go back to see the volcano.
Little cry fest after the acrobate show was over. He sat through the whole thing!!!!!
So needless to say we rode everything together. He rode only some kiddie rides he wanted the big kid rides, well within his height limits. LOL
What a great day.
I was beaming with pride. I was SO exhausted that I couldn't get online last nite to post this.
I had to tell you ladies.
Not only that we had another SLEEP issue again last nigt. So 2 nites of not sleeping well is getting to me. Then Adam asks me if we could go back to the park today!!
We do have plans to go at least 2x before summer ends.

YAHOOOOO Nora!
You and your DH really needed a day like that to enjoy together as a family. How wonderful! We have started to do well going to these kinds of places and it is so wonderful to be able to go as a family and enjoy ourselves. I remember the first time and it was like a huge weight was lifted off of us. It was a family event at the school about a year ago I think. I remember DH and I discussed how this was such a huge weight off us, that we could do things like a family and have fun.

Way to go Adam!!! Waiting is one of Lily's triggers for meltdowns, so I know what a big deal it is when a child with an ASD is able to stand in all those lines and still participate in the rides. I hope you have success with the rest of your visits to the amusement park this summer!
