Need good luck vibes for school disco

Oh boy, it's the school valentines disco this evening, and I am utterly utterly dreading it. Euan (9, Aspergers) is insistant he wants to go, he even has a 'date' (or at least, a note from a girl asking him to dance with her there, and apparently he wrote back 'I'll think about it', little stinker LOL), but I just *know* from past experience that I will get him to the door, he'll see the darkness and the 'loud' music, and just freak and start either hand flapping or sitting in the corner sucking his thumb, which is not an auspicious start to anyone's 'date'...!!! We may, best case scenario, be able to persuade him to stand, rather than sit, with his fingers in in ears for about an hour adjusting to the volume, by which time the whole thing will be over. *sigh*

It's not really helped by the fact that as I drop him off I'll be picking up his younger brother from the infants version, and he will have been running around like a loon, breakdancing and waggling his tush at anyone and everyone, probably being handed him over by some exhausted PTA member who will be resolving *never* to volunteer to chaperone this kind of thing again LOL
