I'm working with our ST to start a support group.
Personally, I prefer support meeting where there is no set topic, but people can speak about stuff that is on their minds.
We always start with an introduction around the table. -kind of like a roll call here, where people mention who they are and talk a little bit about the child who brings them here.
Then usually people start with the questions, which could be about anything: Which district middle school has the best special Ed program, has anyone found a good karate class locally? etc etc.
It is good to have some topic in your back pocket -just in case.
Social skills classes is usually a good one. if there are none locally, you can talk about ways to maybe get some set up -find out who is interested what ages the kids are etc.
Local doctors is another good topic. Everyone wants to hear where
