Well, the mother in me says to call LOL, but really, it should be something he does. He needs to learn this important life skill, and you are the perfect one to teach him.

Talk to him, tell him he should inquire on whats going on. Do some roll playing with him until he feels comfortable bringing it up with his boss. I myself have been role playing with chris because he just can't ask for help in the class period.

I'm afraid if you don't actually show him, it wouldn't occur to him, and he would just go along with whats happening.

I agree, bring it up with him. Talk to and role play with him so he's comfortable with bringing it up. It may be as easy as asking if he can have some more hours. I think this is an important life skill and he needs to do it for himself.

I wish you and he luck. My almost 16 yr old will be getting a job in the next few months-- I have to learn as much as I can about supporting him w/o doing it for him.
