My son is 6, with ASD-high-functioning, and is mainstreamed in grade 1.

I don't know what the term is in English, but he has his own report card criteria set out, for communication goals (these are on top of all the regular goals, but that's another post).

We have always had a problem verifying that the services in my son's IEP were actually being implemented. It's up to the school to figure out how the services will be administered, but you are entitled to status reports. At my son's school it is not the classroom teacher that works on his IEP strategies. Either the school psychologist, counselor or special ed teacher will pull him from class to work on them in group or individual sessions. The classroom teacher deals more with accommodations to the regular school day like using a computer for writing assignments, allowing him to be last in line so that he will not be "bumped" by other students etc. She is aware of his IEP objectives, and reinforces them in the regular classroom, but she is not the one actually teaching the strategies.

I agree that the school has to figure out how to implement the actions included in the IEP.
