Hi everyone! My name is Michelle and my
Both my son and I are AS with Tourettes and anxiety disorder. Even so, the varying degrees to which people can suffer vary so our experiences might not apply to you. For both of us, we're very lucky because our cases are very mild, still there are challenges. Just yesterday I had to email his science teacher because my son had been ticing vocally much more frequently and in her class (I'm guessing stress.) She was very understanding, we're lucky to have the teachers that we do, but the stress on him really has to be worked through to keep him from being so self-conscious. As far as the Aspergers goes, I had to fight the doctor for his diagnosis. They were being very wishy-washy after all of the testing.
Hi there! Thanks for the warm welcome!
