Hi Janet
My son recieved OT for a year and just graduated out of it HOORAY but his therepist gave me a some ideas for the sensory things.

Shaving Cream in the bath tub is really good
I have large tupper ware I do rice and dry beans for him to run his hands thru
Play Dough is good too making him smash it and run his fingers thru itF
Finger painting
I have a yoga ball for him to bounce and roll on/mini trampoline works well
I wheel barrel walk with him to help put deep pressure on his palms
Sand table is good
Heck making good old fashion mud pies work for us too

He got over his "thing" with help from OT and us doing stuff like this.

Each kid is different, and hopefully some of my ideas will work for you

Good Luck

hmmmm I didn't realize they would wax and wane. Is that the same thing for when sounds bother Chris? Like for example he wouldn't be able to stand the sound of his fingernails scratching against his winter jacket, but did fine over the 4th of july?

And then maybe thats a whole other ballgame in itself....

Paula,

Thanks for the info. I am not sure this sounds like DS (at least the ones you listed). Only a couple things seemed to fit somewhat. I will look into it some more.

Janet
