soooo happy i finally found a pediatrician who specializes in pdd, adhd, anxiety , sensory, u name it!! and shes willing to take us on as a new patient even though we dont have health coverage right now! woo hoo im so thrilled.. i remember back when Ry was 18 months and we would mention her (odd behavior) to her then pediatrician he would just say that was her personality. arghhhhh.

so i got the paperwork /results back from the testing facility we took Ryler to a couple of weeks ago. and they say they dont feel she has autism due to her willingness to warm up to the therapists, and that she made decent eye contact.. im kinda shocked by that because ive met a couple of children that were aspies or hfa and also had pretty good eye contact.. so whatever im still left a little clueless.. but hopeing this new ped. we see in 2 weeks will be more real and down to earth with us and actually take a moment to get to know our daughter, instead of looking at her for all of 5 mins and then leaving the rm!!! grr ok i could go on all night..

hope everyone is having a good week!

Great news!

I think some people are reluctant to dx AS or HFA in the really young ones because the label seems so permanent and it's symptoms can be subtle when they're young. As mommy, you know your child better than anyone else does and your gut feel is probably right on. Don't get discouraged because at some point it will become obvious to everyone that something is a bit off and that you were right all along. In the meantime, keep loving your little girl and doing what you can for her! You're a great mom.
