Okay so the neighbor had a friend over who has an 8 year old little girl. I decided that I would break the rules and allow Vic and Bry to play with her. Well, This lil girl was hogging the playstation controller. Victor was having none of that and started bopping this lil girl on the head. Well, after a while, she came and told me what he was doing and boy did I screw up!

I know to tell Vic to take a break, or take time for himself. Instead, I told him "Victor, go into your room and take a time out." Man, when the little girl left a half hour later, I went into his room to tell him that I was walking her home and he was in tears. He said "Momma, I don't know why I'm in trouble. SHE was the one being bad by not sharing." I told him that he wasn't in trouble, he was just getting frustrated when the girls were playing nicely. I told him that he wasn't being punished and he told me "but you SAID TIME OUT! That means I was bad". MAN, how come they know EXACTLY which buttons to push to make me feel awful.

On the plus side, we discovered the cause of Victor answering "I don't know" on all his papers. He understands the questions, the problem was that they are worksheets and his hands have been bothering him. The teacher told him that if he doesn't feel like answering the questions, he can use the computer and number his answers. When she prints it out, she'll staple it to the worksheet and then the worksheet is completed. When we got him to confess that today at parent teacher conferences, his teacher was SO understanding. She said "Now that I know what the problem is Vic, I can help you fix it. We just got our communication confused." For her to be that understanding, and then to accept some of the blame for his poor grade, I know I did the right thing by moving him to this teacher.

Two more months ladies, May 12 is my last final then I can be on more often. I'm sorry I don't have more time.

Man, it's so hard to say the precise words and do the precise things sometimes. i slip and say the wrong things all the time and often it ends up in a big ol' meltdown.

I'm glad the teacher is being so understanding and I'm glad there is a good solution for him.
