Chase has a tiny cavity and the dentist wants to administer nitrous oxide for the procedure.
Is anyone aware of adverse effects, or unusual responses to nitrous oxide when it comes to kids with AS? TIA, Vicky

We had that administered for my son's cavities, no side affects excect woozy for awhile after. And it really really helped, as dentists make our boy flip, well, actually he does great during exams and cleaning, but drilling NO WAY CAN HE RELAX!!! Full body restraint, then the nitrous oxide helped him calm down enough to be able to fix the teeth. Life saver, actually.

And that one time has been a HUGE motivator for brushing teeth LOL. Noone wants a repeat experience, least of all our son...

Thanks, Sara. I was really worried about it. He's very nervous at the dentist as well. Since finding out about his cavitity he's become somewhat obsessive about the amount of sugar in everything he eats. Thanks again, Vicky
