He has at least a small part of each, still working on the actual Dx 6 yrs since my first visit with him to a Dr, to point out the tics, impulsiveness and strange behaviour. I also have Eloise who is 6 1/2 and NT and gorgeous!!!

Grew up in No CA (Alameda County -- Newark), spent a few years on-and-off in NE GA, and I've been in MD for the last several years.

My 12yo dd and 8yo ds bring me here, both mild AS.

For Thanksgiving, my sister announced to the family that I'd invited everyone to my home (I don't mind, but I WAS surprised!), so we have about 30 family members, including my own family, who will be in town for dinner (my family is actually more than double that size, so this is a "small" gathering). It'll be a snug gathering, but it's the first time in many years that we've had a family gathering for Thanksgiving since we live so far apart from each other. Fortunately my kids actually do quite well with most of my relatives, so this will be a happy thing for them rather than stressful (dh family is another story). And, since my kids are getting better about eating, I don't have to cook completely separately for them, tho' I do make sure we have at least a couple of foods they like on the menu. For the past few years, we'd go eat at a Smorgasboard for Thanksgiving 'cus we could all have something we liked to eat.

Who you are - Lisa

Where you are - Long Island, NY (Port Jefferson Station)

Where you are originally from (optional) - I was born just North of Houston, TX, and spent my childhood moving back and forth between Houston, and Mobile, AL

Who brings you here -briefly: Jillian, my baby girl. She turned 4 September 17th. She was JUST diagnosed as PDD-NOS

...and how you will be celebrating Thanksgiving this year. - Thanksgiving this year will be ruff. We lost my mother-in-law very unexpectedly early this year to cancer, and Thanksgiving last year was the last time she saw the kids. So we will take it VERY easy, probably just myself, hubby and 2 kids with an oversized Turkey.
