Teeeehheeeeeheeeee

As the proud mommy too.......4 kids, 2 big dogs, 3 guinea pigs, a cat and now as of tonight 6 fish...

welcome to the crazy club!

Yes, I was back at Petco tonight buying 2 more fish Cait had earned. We now have I believe it is Luna and HYSA (Hope you stay alive) Ok, I came up with that last name but I think Emily said she was changing it. Mom tends to kill fish. Doing better with the last set we got though (crossing fingers).

Did I mention crazy?

Guinea pigs are great therapy animals. Just have lots of air freshener around and be prepared to clean those stinky cages regularly.

Renee, before I head off to bed, I just have to say that if you are getting your fish from Petco, it isn't you who are killing them.

YES but they are like $2, lol.

Besides, I have gotten fish from a fish store a couple times and killed them too. Petco does have a 15 day guarantee if I can keep track of my reciept and stomach traveling with a dead fish.

I've always said "no" to a dog until earlier this year when we heard it might help the kids with their emotional problems. I can't say we've seen the level of benefit we'd hoped for, and I end up doing 99.9% of the work, but the kids love her. Of course the dog ended up having more emotional problems than the kids, so she was on doggie Prozac until we bought a cat to be her friend which helped her. Even though we've not seen the level of benefit we'd hoped for, we have seen SOME benefit, and I think the benefit probably gradually increases the longer she's around and the kids play with/take care of her. We've also found we like having the dog around for other reasons, like how she discourages door-to-door salespeople and how it's nice to have a big, noisy dog around when I have to leave my kids unattended to run a quick errand (even tho' the older ones are big enough to leave alone, it still unsettles me). There are all kinds of logical reasons that dogs are a huge pain in the neck, but we absolutely love our dog and are happy we have her! Enjoy your new baby (except for the nasty house breaking part -- blech)!!!
