I have a 13 yo aspie girl that acts like that too.

I did find it helpful to just have books available for hher to read. She also didn' notice realy that she was different and often still doesn't in many ways. She did notice some motor problems at 7ish. She couldn't physically do what other kids could and we explained then that her brain worked differently, etc. She didn't really comprehend it all but she did some.

Cait (13) has a younger sister (9) who is more mature than she is but she has kept Cait up with her in play skills. Once when Cait was 8 we were told she had excellent play skills for a 4 yo. We said that made sense. She had a 4yo sister with excellent play skills. Now she is 13 with excellent play skills for a 9yo. But she is a sweet kid and getting more mature every day.
