I know I am hardly one to talk about accents:

Ha, ha, ha.

"Knock the corners off?" We don't make threats like that where I come from. But Harry Potter may be cool in her circle.

LOL! maybe it's just genes?

Weston has an accent when he's reading something aloud that's a bit "sherlock holmes" and when he's loving me he's got a "Jar-Jar Binks" thing going. but he's never just had an accent when he isn't "playing" a part or role.

How flippin' cute is that, Paula?!?!?! I LOVE IT!

I'd ignore it...no doubt if she does it around her friends one of them will say, "Why are you talking like that?" and she'll stop.

First you need to call a priest and set up the excorcism asap!!!!

Ok ok, jut kidding, but seriously of all the accents she could adopt....Sasanach???????? My Dad jokes that Liam talks liike he has marbles in his gob. I think although Liam has a yank accent, it's still an odd one, more marbley and formal....kwim? Maybe that is what you're dealing with.

Hey did ya hear they let rugby be played at Croch Park last month....first time ever. Btw: Ireland trounced the Brits!

Moms Irish and Dad's a Scot. She lives in NY and is watching Harry Potter and Narnia. The girl DIDN'T have a chance! I am surprised it is as typical as just a british accent. Imagine the odd mixed accent she COULD have! Count yourself BLESSED!

Then again, Dave sounds like an odd New Yorker, but I think that is just the speech impediment. lol.

I'd ignore it for now and see what happens.

Sidney,

"Knock the corners off" is an Irish expression and it isn't physical.

It means kind of what Amy said, that she'd start with some affectation and the friends would be like "What are you SAYING?"

Good point. It's a wonder she passed for normal at all up to now.

YOu could always send her to my house to convalesce. We'd have her speaking with a Sazian accent in ni time.

Then you'd REALLY be confused.
